Ross is a PhD candidate under the supervision of A/Prof Kirsten Spann at the Centre for Children's Health Research with QUT Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation studying the innate anti-viral immune response to respiratory viruses in Otitis media having previously studied the genetic diversity dynamics of dengue virus infection under Prof John Aaskov.
